Touch – a Sydney Film Festival trailer Preview
There are many good reasons to attend the 2014 Sydney Film Festival, but one of the best is the exciting list of Australian films that will be exhibited there.
Touch is one of these films, making its World premiere at the festival. Check out the official blurb below…
A high-impact, confident Australian first feature, Christopher Houghton’s Touch is a tight and enigmatic thriller that begins with an assault. A woman named Dawn attacks a man at his workplace, and then takes to the road with her 10-year-old daughter. Cautious, even paranoid, it’s clear that she’s running from something or someone, desperate to keep her daughter hidden. Holed up in motel, she begins an intense sexual relationship with a local cop, neglecting her daughter in the process. All the while, the world is closing in on Dawn, and she becomes increasingly reckless. Carefully constructed to ratchet up the tension as the film progresses, this auspicious debut is marked by committed performances from Leeanna Walsmann, Matt Day and Greg Hatton.
